Who
Designers
Designers this is not a Fashion Week or a Market week! This is a Virtual platform or more correctly digital ( virtual worlds are 3d worlds). This concept can be pursued as a separate alternative or used in association with Fashion or market weeks to augment sales! Designers who identify as being of “African Heritage” or “Black” from across the globe ( no need to travel this is online) can participate! We can accommodate 28 designers we can work with less but can only prepare 28 design lines.
Designers must sign on by January 28th to be able to access all the features
Lines are curated for quality.. I’m sorry poor production standards or sewing is simply poor production …
The availability of product is dependent on the design line and is stated with each designer so please read details! They may run the gamut from supplying high end chains to couture and custom, as well as private label, thisis designed to meet the cultural needs of African designers.
Designer need to opt in there is little we can do! There is a preparation process. The designs that have been feature in out pre-alpha site are by designers who have worked with us in the past.
Tech Companies
We selected the tech companies based on how well they suited the needs and the impact we believe they can have on the community! There was no Hype, no social media campaigns! Some are sponsors, many are from NY tech scene and many we came across at FashionCamp; if it does not work for our needs we will not use it! Our audience is a low tech audience whose budget is already too tight to hire a “tech” department! We went for FOSS (Free and Open Source or affordable!)

This Project is made possible by collaborative efforts of Sponsors and Partners as per FTC regulations and our standards we are open about our endorsement process! All Funds generated are put back into this and subsequent projects in the community! For information on partnering, volunteering, sponsorship and other participation please contact us!
