About Haitian-American Care, Inc
Haitian-American Care, Inc., HACI, is a non-profit organization formed in 2008 to improve the health, education and welfare of the less fortunate people of Haiti. We provide schools, medical clinics and food sources for Haiti’s poor. Over the past 2 years we have put up mobile clinics in Port-Au-Prince, supplying the clinics with medicine and medical personnel.
Another goal of Haitian-American Care, Inc. is to provide food and nutritional services. Our vision for food includes providing nutritious meals to children in school.
Their committee on nutrition, Haiti’s Hungry Task Force, provides community-orientated nutritional programs such as the Canteen Scholar Program that services children that are not enrolled in formal school, distributing meals 7 days a week while basic educational and life skills are taught.
Transparency,
Haitian-American Cares will ensure items are distributed, not sold. They will provide images and videos documenting this distribution will be provided! Items will be distributed directly to the people in need of Haiti. They have relief tours happening every few months. Next ones scheduled are for March 27th then June 21st. Pictures and videos of all the work will be taken. You will be able to see the distribution. You are invited to travel to Haiti to volunteer distributing the items and witness the distribution, first-hand. Plans are in progress to open a facility that will include an orphanage for 64 kids, that will have a a school and clinic, nearby. There are also pictures attached of the work being done in the mobile clinics on Haitian-American Care’s recent trip to Haiti.
