As a designer I’m exploring open design, and trying to actively incorporate some of the new technology, or at least I keep promising to… subscribe for notice on the next show!
Since 2003 I have been exploring what and how technology can affect the creative…first as a tool in the creative process then as a tool in the business process. I’m at the point now where I’m comfortable enough to question “experts” and ask “what can this do for me!
Currently I’m directing the design of a coworking incubator1285 Fulton and writing rather recording the results of This project so that others can learn, challenge and expand on it!
Bonnie Sandy has an avid interest in the art of making; the business of making and how emerging technology affects making and is one of New York’s fashion and tech innovators behind FashionCamp an Unconference started in NY, that has spread to LA , Seattle and soon Chicago.
As a fashion designer, she runs DeMarketPlace, and 28 squared a Brooklyn based & Virtual Incubator projects and support program, helping creative individuals, utilize new and emerging media and tools to set up independent businesses. Her efforts to “Bridging the digital” has led to the global initiative focusing on fashion, 28 Squared that will provide a venue for designers, artist and fans to connect

Strategy is the essence of http://www.Demarketplace.com a hands on exploratory project that test theories on new and emerging media and their use, specific to creative enterprise! I always post and try to be as open as teh project permits! However I cannot always post teh full content and oftent context cannot be divulged due to the privacy rights of artist I work with. but i will gladly wlk you through our exploration!
Strategy is behind http://www.28squared.com is a program I am developing that uses those lessons and observations to create products and services that cater to the how rather than the what of successful presentation and sale of fashion ( and by demand) other creative products!
